Dia de Los Muertos exhibition at Arte Americas

21 Sep
Hi everyone! We have an exciting event to promote that we have learned about through Erica Rodriguez. It’s a great opportunity to check out a FREE art exhibit and learn about the Mexican culture through art. It’s put on by Arte Americas.  Be sure to check it out before it’s over!

Dia de Los Muertos exhibition at Arte Americas

The exhibition will run from September 16th to November 21st. The Fresno Arts Council gave the museum a huge grant so that the public can view the exhibition for free.
It features altaristas Richard Arenas (curator), Cecilia Aranaydo, Rosie Arenas, Abelino Bautista, Ramiro Martinez, and Helen Rael. Researched and coordinated by Las Coronelas. Museum hours and days are Thursday-Saturdays from 11-5PM, Sundays 1-5PM. 1630 Van Ness Ave. (559) 266-2623.
Aside from that, there is also a special Dia de Los Muertos procession happening on October 31st. It will start at St. John’s Cathedral (2814 Mariposa St. in Downtown Fresno) at 3PM, people will march all the way to Arte Americas, concluding the procession at 7PM. After that, there will be a reception.
Thanks Erica for the event info, and thanks Arte Americas for putting together such an unique exhibit!
